Yannis Hadjinicolaou

Yannis Hadjinicolaou studied Art History, South East Asian Art History and Early Modern/Modern History in Berlin and Amsterdam. In 2010 he graduated with a Master-thesis on “Arent de Gelders Portraits and the problem of formal diversity” with Prof. Dr. Werner Busch and Prof. Dr. Horst Bredekamp. His Dissertation – project is entitled Handeling in Art and Arttheory of the “Rembrandtists” from the middle of the 17th till the beginning of the 18th century. Handeling describes an active, embodied process which is connected to the motoric motion of the hand with the brush or any kind of tool.
